Members of Dorchester Round Table & Dorchester 41 Club got together for a vineyard tour Bride Valley Vineyard. A beautiful location, great hospitality and fabulous wine.
The 10 hectare vineyard has spectacular views of Dorset’s Bride Valley and produces three fine sparkling English wines. Our tour guide for the day was the enthusiastic and knowledgeable Graham, who provided a fascinating insight into the background of the farm and the wine making process.
The tour kicked off with a short walk to take a closer look at the vines. The tour included a tasting of the different wine varieties and a delicious picnic lunch supplied by YC’s. With hand sanitiser stations and social distancing measures in place, the tour felt perfectly safe.
Great to meet the proprietors of the West Dorset Vineyard Arabella and Steven Spurrier. Stephen is highly respected in wine circles and a real gentleman who made us feel very welcome. We’d highly recommended the experience for groups of friends or corporate gatherings.
