The 9th annual Dorchester Cider Festival returns to Borough Gardens on Saturday 17th August 2024 at 14:00.

A family-friendly event celebrating the region's finest cider producers, with great food and live music throughout the day. Please purchase your 2024 festival cup first from The Round Table Orange Gazebo – it will be the only cup for use in the cider village. This supports the growing costs of running this charity festival and ensures a safe, enjoyable event for all. All profits from the festival are distributed to local causes by the Dorchester Round Table. Please respect the park (Borough Gardens has Green Flag status) and use the extra bins provided. Cider Village

Sample award-winning ciders from local cider makers, with options for all tastes, from sweet to dry. Soft drinks, beers, and wines will also be available. Notable cider makers include:

Note: A 'Think 25' policy will be enforced for all alcohol sales.

Enjoy food from various vendors including Mad Mitch Ice Cream, Fire in the Shire, Posh Pigs, Coffee go go, and Taste of Thailand.

• Carley Varley – Stage time: 14:00-14:45. Carley Varley and her band perform a mix of original music and alternative rock covers.
• The Surfin’ Birds – Stage time: 15:30-16:15. Surf rock with a local twist.
• Chief Lazarus – Stage time: 17:00-18:00. Indie rock band known for their high-energy performances.
• Mr Tea and the Minions – Stage time: 18:30-19:450. Eclectic gypsy swing band with upbeat vibes.
• Stillyano – Stage time: 20:30-22:00. Classic rock tribute band with a high-energy show.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an entry fee? Entry to the park and the live music is free. However, a festival cup must be purchased at the event for all drink purchases.

Are there non-cider drink options? Yes, a general bar with lager, ale, wines, and soft drinks will be available.

Can I bring my dog? Yes, but dogs must be kept on leads.

Will extra bins be provided? Yes, please use them to keep the park clean and maintain Green Flag status.
