In Dorchester Round Table tradition our Chairman and Vice-Chairman laid a wreath for Remembrance Sunday at Dorchester Cenotaph.

Because of the national lockdown it was not possible for Dorchester Town Council to hold their usual Service of Remembrance this year, but we were able to lay the wreath at the war memorial to mark our respects in an allocated time slot in the afternoon.
This year, Dorchester Town Council held a short service on Sunday 8th November 2020 involving the Mayor, with representatives of serving military and veterans only.

For the safety of those in attendance it was asked that people remember those who served from the safety of their own homes and to observe a two minute silence on their doorsteps.

Dorchester Round Table were represented by Paul Castle (chair) and Ralph Wheeler (vice-chair) for the socially distanced laying of the wreath.

The Remembrance Sunday Service was streamed live on the Dorchester Town Council Facebook page and can be viewed on the Dorchester Town Council website.
